Remember the game works like this..........the more u fear terrorists, the more they strike/attack back! for instance America!!!

.............i agree with DolphinDude because we are wasting so much time and money with all this terrorism bull, and at the end of it all, nothing even happens........they just make the situation worser........why?....there's still wars going on, and have risen!

Yet, we could be spending such money on environmental projects, such as building better water supplies in the arid areas of Africa, help people.........including animals and so on...and so much more!

America isn't afraid of terrorists that's why they are fighting them.

There are terrorists in Africa too. How can you aid the poor in Africa if your being shot at?

well......... theres two sides to this terrorism story! but in a way Americans are afraid even though on the other side they're fighting back! but they are fighting the countries which don't even have any weapons to fight with and they have killed and destroyed the lives of so many innocent people who aren't even terrorists! they never tell this side of the story in the media!?!

.........and about Africa.......they are not terrorists, but they just have some sort of hatred built inside of themselves of the people from the west!......but i don't know what to say :?

So define a terrorist then. These guys are facing severe difficulties whilst trying to support families and find a job. They think there's nothing worth livng for and suddenly along comes a terrorist group and says join our cause and fight against the West! Suddenly there's something to live for. This sort of terrorist is all too easy to recrute in Africa and happens a lot. Also just because a group doesn't terrorise the West doesn't mean it's not a terrorist organisation. Countries like Rwanda have been in turmoil due to terrorism.

but they are fighting the countries which don't even have any weapons to fight with and they have killed and destroyed the lives of so many innocent people who aren't even terrorists!

Like which countries? Isn't Britain also involved in this? In almost every single war there have been civilian casualties but that doesn't mean it's on purpose. You think the soldiers out there in Irak or Afganistan enjoy killing innocent people?

they never tell this side of the story in the media!?!

Again like with the aliens if the media got hold of anything like this they would be having a field day and the media are very good at finding things out.

Sure there is some terrorism in the world, but we cannot ignore everything else to indulge our own feelings of social and moral superiority, well founded or not.

!? So we should let terrorists have a free reign? We shouldn't set an example to others? Should let other countries and entire populations live under terrorist rule? I bet you wouldn't be saying that if terrorists came over here and made every day of your life a misery. You wouldn't think twice about trees or dolphins then.

First let me just clear my throat.....Ahem..Ahem.......Ahem!!!! much better......... Anyway... as i was saying i agree with what your saying "Dominus Illuminatio Mea" theres nothing wrong with it, but nowadays people have the incorrect terminology of "terrorism" and apparently, i thought you were one of them but i am wrong! :? However, in my opinion, i repeat "in my opinion", i don't agree with what is told in the media because they always tell different stories, they never tell the truth with what is really going on around the world!, and this is after meeting people that have really travelled to those areas of agonising pain! you are not living in a world of truth you know!

Of course. There are people out there who are willing to twist the truth to sell stories or ideas. However some might be telling the truth. That is why I'm always skeptical about what the media says because I don't know if they're telling the truth or not.

"sceptical"

Ah yes. If you are referring to bad spelling let me explain. If not forgive my rantings.

The English spelling sceptical derives from the French sceptique
The American spelling skeptical derives from the original root which is Greek skeptikos.
Both are perfectly acceptable in my opinion.

back to the original topic. Why should be not 'play god'? what does it mean?
I am a strong atheist and so i think it is important we expplore this exciting new line of research, for ( puts on acnient jedi like tone) with research comes knowledge, with knowledge comes understanding and with understanding come compassion, which makes the world a better place :)

Genetic engineering involvoles creating things that have never been created before and would almost certainly never be created in the course of natural evolution.
Because the creations of genetic engineering have never existed before we will have little idea of what their ultimate effects on the environment could be if we were to create them. This is where "Playing God" (if you like) holds an enormous responsibility. To introduce a new GM species into the world safely requires an awful lot of thought. This is why genetically modified produce at the present is strictly tested for years and strictly controlled. It is also important to make sure genetic engineering is critisised for the right reasons. The media are very one sided on this subject and it is extremely important that you do Not believe everything the media tells you- especially if it is in tabloid form!
Whether genetic engineering is right or wrong is entirely down to a persons opinion. The best thing you can do is to make sure that the opinion you have is justified in to best possible way. This is easy with the internet's resources at your fingertips.
